Hey hey! It's been a little while, but here's a new Art & Lit: somewhat based on reality.
Why have I been late on moocartoon.com? Because it's hard as hell to find work nowadays! I now know what my least favorite activity in the world is: it's job hunting. Let me tell ya, the only thing more depressing then rejection is multiple rejections. But luckily I found some work, so I'm back on the cartooning bandwagon! Huzzas all around!
I spent a little more time on the art with this one. As well I did all the speech bubbles with my Wacom Bamboo (which I'm still not really used to working with yet.) That's why they look a little more wobbly then the pixel perfectly uniform ovals of Photoshop. Be sure to tell me what you think!
Haha, I love cartooning but I ended up going the route of TCom and Japanese instead of art school cos I couldn't cut it. xx; Glad you were able to find work, at least in America it's a precious commodity right now.

Heh, count Britain in for the "jobs - there ain't none" group
Actually, there *are* jobs being advertised, but the specifications appear to be written by complete eejits ... but then, they're all from recruitment agencies, so that fits.
I swear, the other day I came across an ad that started by asking for a graphic designer, and then went on to specify that not only must you be amazing in every piece of software under the sun, you must also be a professional photographer comfortable with both locational and studio shoots, and you must also be a web designer and programmer.
I figured that since the employee they described probably doesn't exist, I may as well apply >_>
DeviantART and the martial arts action film, Ninja Assassin, have teamed up to allow ALL deviants the ability to install Journal Skins! Select an awesome Ninja Assassin skin or choose the skin of your choice.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Deviousness Award is an accolade which is traditionally handed out on the 1st of every month to one trully outstanding deviant. `Cyantre is one of the most helpful deviants within our community. With a positive attitude and a resourceful mind, you can always find him providing support and encouragement to those in need. Always looking for ways in which he can get more involved in our community, John's positive presence is to be aspired to. A well respected poet, John is a must-have on your deviantWATCH to make sure that you don't miss out on your dose of community inspiration. It's with great pleasure that the Deviousness Award for November 2009 goes to... Read More
